Shoah

It was more important to them to kill the Jews then to win the war
He was not going to lose the war against the Jews
Judaism was a religion, but we were Hungarian

“We don’t need any Jews in this town”

A few days later the trucks came.
They pushed us in, maybe 100 of us
Mashed together like sardines
“Where are they taking us?”

Auschwitz

This was totally unreal
The inhumanity of man against man
There hatred was so blind

“What is going on here?”
“Why would they do this to me?”
“Where is God?”

Striped clothes and shaved heads
They never gave us anything to eat or drink
They were the walking dead

Then they punished us
Thousands and thousands bodies were buried a day
Mass shootings into mass graves
Forty boxcars full of dead bodies

“This is a madmen’s hell”
